Greensboro Bound Literary Festival is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and harassment and discrimination free environment for our attendees, volunteers, staff, vendors, and authors.
Greensboro Bound has a zero tolerance policy for harassment or intimidation of any kind made on the basis of the following: race, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, gender presentation, sexual orientation, appearance, age, disability, religion, citizenship, military or veteran status, or other marginalized identity.
Harassment includes but is not limited to: stalking, verbal or physical intimidation, offensive verbal or written comments or displayed images, physical assault and/or battery, unwelcome and non-consensual photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome physical and/or sexual attention, sustained disruption of talks and other festival events.
Harassment does not include respectful disagreement or critique.
If a person engages in harassing behavior, Greensboro Bound staff or volunteers will take prompt action in any form they deem appropriate, including expulsion from the festival. If a person finds themselves in a situation where their safety is at risk, they should immediately call the police by dialing 911. If you are aware of an attendee not in compliance with this policy, please immediately locate a volunteer or staff member and report the incident.
